Women Empowerment Advocate • Job Creation Champion • ALU Student
I'm a passionate ALU student on a mission to empower women and create meaningful job opportunities across Africa. Through innovative initiatives, mentorship programs, and community engagement, I'm dedicated to breaking barriers and building bridges for women to thrive in every sector.
My journey is fueled by the belief that when women are empowered, entire communities transform. I combine academic excellence with practical solutions to address gender inequality and economic challenges, creating sustainable pathways for women's success and leadership.
Showcasing initiatives that empower women and create opportunities
Organized and participated in a meaningful give-back activity at Kigeme Refugee Camp, distributing academic materials to students. This initiative provided essential educational resources to refugee children, supporting their learning journey and demonstrating our commitment to community service and educational empowerment.
Completed a valuable internship in the Livelihood department at Impact Hope Rwanda, where I gained hands-on experience in developing sustainable livelihood programs. This experience deepened my understanding of community development and provided practical skills in creating economic opportunities for vulnerable populations.
Led a comprehensive tailoring training project for refugee youth in Masaka, providing them with practical skills and entrepreneurial knowledge. This initiative empowered young refugees with marketable skills, enabling them to create sustainable income sources and build better futures for themselves and their families.
Milestones in women empowerment and community impact
Organized and led the EmpowerHer event, a comprehensive women empowerment conference that brought together 200+ women from across Rwanda. The event featured workshops on leadership, entrepreneurship, and personal development, creating a platform for women to network, learn, and inspire each other to pursue their dreams and career goals.
Participated in the Raise Her Voice event, a powerful platform amplifying women's voices and leadership across Africa. This inspiring event featured keynote speakers, panel discussions, and networking sessions focused on breaking gender barriers, promoting women's rights, and encouraging female leadership in various sectors including business, politics, and social impact.
Attended the Global Partnership for African Development (GPAD) Leadership Event, where I gained valuable insights into African development challenges and solutions. The event focused on youth leadership, sustainable development, and innovative approaches to addressing social and economic issues across the continent, inspiring my commitment to women empowerment and community development.
Participated in the Business of Conservation Conference, exploring the intersection of environmental sustainability and economic development. This conference provided insights into how conservation efforts can create job opportunities and economic benefits for local communities, particularly for women, inspiring my approach to combining environmental awareness with women's economic empowerment initiatives.
Engaged in the "Let's Talk Love" series organized by ALU Christian Fellowship, where we explored topics of love, relationships, and personal values from a faith-based perspective. This experience deepened my understanding of building healthy relationships and community bonds, which has influenced my approach to creating supportive networks for women and fostering inclusive environments in my empowerment initiatives.
